Audio Converter
Free online audio converter. Convert MP3, WAV, OGG, WebM, M4A and FLAC files directly in your browser. No upload to servers, instant and private.
🔒 Your audio never leaves your browser — 100% client-side processing.
Browser-Based Audio Conversion
This tool converts audio files entirely within your browser using the Web Audio API and JavaScript — no file is ever uploaded to a server. Your audio stays private and conversion is fast even without an internet connection once the page loads.
Supported Output Formats
MP3: Compressed and broadly compatible. Best for sharing and general use. Choose bitrate from 64 to 320 kbps when the MP3 encoder loads correctly in your browser.
WAV: Uncompressed audio with larger files. Useful when you want a cleaner intermediate copy for editing. Bitrate controls do not apply to WAV.
OGG Vorbis: Open compressed format with good efficiency, but actual support depends on your browser's recording capabilities.
WebM/Opus: Modern web-friendly audio format. Good when supported, though browser compatibility is still less universal than MP3 or WAV.
MP3 Bitrate Guide
64 kbps is suitable for voice recordings and podcasts. 128 kbps is the standard web streaming quality. 192 kbps is a good balance for music. 320 kbps is the highest MP3 quality with minimal compression artifacts. Note that converting from a lower-quality source (like a 128 kbps MP3) to 320 kbps won't recover lost quality — the output quality is limited by the source.
Batch Conversion
Upload multiple audio files at once and convert them to the same format and bitrate. Each file is processed sequentially and listed with its own playback preview and download button.
File Size Limit
Files up to 100 MB are accepted. For larger files, consider splitting them first or using a desktop application like Audacity (free) or FFmpeg.
Browser Compatibility
WAV is the most dependable output option. MP3 requires the browser to load the built-in encoder correctly, while OGG and WebM depend on MediaRecorder codec support. If a format is unavailable, the interface warns you before conversion.
